Instructions

  1. Twist the top of the seal-syringe applicator to align the tip with the black O-ring
  2. Extrude a small drop of the Life-Like gel into each tooth indentation of your Progressive Dental custom bleaching tray. You need just 1/4cc of gel to properly load the tray. If the material is too difficult to get out of the applicator, trim back the tip with scissors.
  3. Place the tray in your mouth. Using 1/4cc should leave NO significant excess of material. (A tiny drop goes a long way!)
  4. Wear the trays two times a day for 30-60 minutes each time.
  5. Rinse or brush out your tray to remove excess material after each treatment.
  6. Repeat this procedure for 14-28 days. Monitor your results until you have achieved the results you want. MAKE SURE TO REFRIGERATE THE WHITNENING GEL WHEN NOT IN USE!

Suggestions

  • Refrain from eating, drinking, or smoking for 30 minutes after wearing the whitnening gel. Also avoid citrus to minimize possible discomfort.
  • Tooth sensitivity can be expected during whitening treatments. If sensitivity should occur, wait 24hrs before resuming treatments. If sensitivity persists, please schedule a follow-up with your dentist.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call the office.

FAQ

The longevity of your whitening results depends on your oral hygiene habits and lifestyle choices. Avoiding stain-causing foods and beverages (like coffee, tea, and red wine) and maintaining a regular brushing and flossing routine can help extend the results. You may need to do periodic touch-ups using the trays to maintain the brightness of your smile.

Whitening gels will not change the color of crowns, veneers, or other dental restorations. If you have these restorations, it’s important to consult with your dentist before using the whitening trays to ensure even results and to discuss potential alternatives.

Swallowing a small amount of whitening gel is generally not harmful, but it may cause mild stomach discomfort. It’s important to apply only a small amount of gel to each tooth indentation to minimize the risk of swallowing. If you experience any unusual symptoms after swallowing the gel, contact your dentist or seek medical advice from your doctor.

It’s not recommended to wear whitening trays overnight. Prolonged exposure to the whitening gel can increase the risk of tooth sensitivity and gum irritation. It’s best to follow the recommended usage of 30-60 minutes twice a day.

If your gums become irritated, it could be due to excess gel on the tray that is coming into contact with your gums. Try applying less gel to the tray and ensure it’s only in the tooth indentations. If irritation persists, stop using the trays and contact our office.

While initial results can be seen within a few days, the final results may take up to 28 days of consistent use. However, individual results can vary based on factors such as the original shade of your teeth, the type of staining, and how closely you follow the treatment guidelines.
