This past weekend many of our Progressive Dental employees, along with their family and friends, participated in two big 5K’s in our community. Some got messy supporting the Mental Health Association of the Southern Tier at ‘The Happiest 5K on the Planet’, The Color Run at Binghamton Community College. Marketing Coordinator, Emily M. is a second-time Color Runner who believes “this is a great reason to get out with your friends and family, support a great cause, and have the time of your life. There’s something very special about this event!”
Others teamed up to walk Otsiningo Park in the Oral Cancer Walk to support the Oral Cancer Foundation. The Oral Cancer Foundation is a national public service, non-profit entity designed to reduce suffering and save lives through prevention, education, research, advocacy, and patient support activities. Oral cancer is the largest group of those cancers which fall into the head and neck cancer category.
Progressive Dental was among the Sponsors of this walk, and also covered registration fees for our employees and their family members who participated in Sunday’s event. One of our participants, Dr. Quinones stresses how important it is to get screened by your dentist during dental visits. “With just a quick, easy, non-invasive oral exam by the dentist, the disease can be caught in an early stage and be more treatable than if a patient waits”.
