Giving back to the community is a strong focus for the staff at Progressive Dental. For the 22nd consecutive year, Progressive Dental will host Doctor’s with a Heart Day on September 23nd to provide free care to local residents in need. Free dental care will be offered to community members in need from 8am to noon at the Endwell, Norwich, Montrose and Kirkwood offices along with Chenango Bridge Dental.
Doctors with a Heart Day was founded 30 years ago by a dentist in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Today, that kind doctor’s interest in serving the community has grown into one of the largest health-related charities in the world. Thousands of doctors and staff donate their time to supporting the health of those in need each and every year. Progressive Dental proudly holds this event every day to care for residents throughout the Southern Tier and Northeastern Pennsylvania.
With over 20 years of community service woven into the values of Progressive Dental, the staff and local volunteers look forward to this opportunity each fall. Dr. Sonny Spera, along with more than 60 others, including dentists, staff members and volunteers, will join forces to provide dental care to those without healthcare coverage or the means to seek regular dental care. Services that can be completed within a single visit, such as cleanings, x-rays, fillings, and extractions, are performed on a first come, first serve basis.
The Progressive Dental team, along with their many community volunteers, have provided care to thousands of local residents in need. With $65,000 in services donated in 2016, the team looks forward to surpassing the $1 million mark for total services offered over the past 22 years.
