So what’s a dental bridge?
A dental bridge, or a fixed partial-denture, is a prosthesis used to replace missing teeth and is not removable by the patient.
The teeth on both sides of the missing tooth are reduced in size to allow room for the material restoring the missing tooth’s original size and shape in correct alignment with opposing teeth.
Materials used to make the bridge include gold, porcelain fused to metal, or porcelain alone.
When restoring the empty space in a patient’s mouth with a fixed partial denture that will crown the teeth adjacent to the space and bridge the gap between the “fake tooth”. This restoration is called a bridge.
