Here at Progressive Dental we know how important it is to be involved in our communities. Our outreach programs and staff involvement in local initiatives, area schools and charitable organizations are very important aspects of our mission. With the cost of college tuitions on the rise and the increase in supplies needed to successfully complete classes, many students are searching for scholarship opportunities. For the past 18 years, Progressive Dental has been helping to fill that need by providing scholarships to local students who demonstrate ambition and dedication to community involvement.
Each year we award ambitious local high school students for dedication to their own communities. Since 1998, Progressive Dental has awarded over $20,000 in scholarship funds to 40 local high school seniors planning to continue their education.
Students awarded scholarships from Progressive Dental have proven themselves both academically and socially within their schools and hometowns. To be considered for an award, students must demonstrate academic success, an interest in pursuing a college education and dedication to volunteerism in their communities. Previous scholarship winners have gone on to attend prestigious universities, enter competitive workforces, volunteer around the world and even find success in the field of dentistry.
Each scholarship winner receives $500 to lessen the burden of initial college costs. This reward can be used toward any initial expenses such as books, dorm necessities, travel costs or the student’s individual needs. Applications are available on the “Community Scholarship” page of our website, at each dental office and at the guidance offices in area schools within Susquehanna, Broome and Chenango Counties. All entries are due to by May 1st to any one of our five locations.
