What to Expect

When you arrive in the office you will be greeted by our friendly reception team. We will help you check-in, collect and verify insurance information, complete essential paperwork (forms will be sent electronically via text or email prior to your arrival to be filled out), and answer any questions you may have.

The first non-emergency visit will include:

  • A complete head, neck, and mouth examination
  • Free oral cancer screening
  • Any necessary X-rays
  • Complete charting of all existing dental work
  • Custom treatment plan (including costs)
  • Fluoride treatment (for children)
  • Set up any future appointments needed (including six-month cleanings)

When you’re finished with your appointment, the clinical team will walk with you to the front office where you will check-out with our friendly and helpful staff, they will assist you in scheduling your next appointment.  We understand sometimes the “unexpected” happens, therefore we have partnered with Care Credit and Cherry Payment Plans to help ease any financial burden. We strive to provide the best customer care and find it very important to provide you with the best solution for the “unexpected”.

If it is your very first appointment with our office, we ask that full payment be made at the time of service. If you have dental insurance, we will bill your insurance as a courtesy and if we receive payment from the insurance company, you will have a credit on your account, which can be applied to future dental work or be refunded to you. Once an insurance transaction has occurred, and your dental benefit provider pays our office directly, then only your co-payment is expected at future appointments.

If you do not have dental insurance, we provide financing options through Care Credit, Visions FCU, and our Smile Plan. We also have a monthly payment option available with Cherry Financing If you have any questions about payment before your appointment, feel free to contact us.

Progressive Dental is a fee-for-service (FFS) practice. This means we are not contracted with any dental insurance companies. Instead of working within insurance restrictions, our doctors focus on recommending care based on what is clinically best for you — not what an insurance plan limits.

Many dental insurance plans allow you to visit the provider of your choice. Depending on your specific benefits, your plan may still reimburse you for services received at an unrestricted or out-of-network office. As a courtesy to our patients, our team will gladly submit claims to your insurance on your behalf so you can receive any eligible reimbursement directly from your carrier.

Please note that we are unable to submit claims to Medicare or government-funded programs.

If you do not have a dental insurance plan, we offer an in-house dental savings plan called the Progressive Dental Smile Plan for one yearly membership fee.

If you have questions about your benefits, our team is always happy to help you understand your options and walk you through what to expect before treatment begins.

Our team will email or text you the necessary forms for online completion prior to your appointment. If you are unable to fill out your forms online, you can also print them and bring them into the office. To streamline your check-in process, we recommend completing the forms in advance.
