For over 10 years, Progressive Dental has been proud to partner with Binghamton University for their internship program (CDCI). The CDCI program partners with local, regional, national and international agencies to provide students with endless opportunities (ranging from Accounting to Zoology) in experiential education.
Dan Hostrander was one of the interns that Progressive Dental was proud to have in our office… during both his high school and college careers. He is a graduate of Maine Endwell High School and is currently a senior at the University of North Carolina. At UNC, Dan is specializing in General Dentistry and plans to head straight into practice as an Associate General Dentist in either Raleigh or Charlotte, NC. In the summer of 2012, Dan and a group of students traveled to Uganda for 3 weeks to provide dental care to the under serviced, at which time, the “Uganda Project” was born. Each year a group of 1st and 2nd year UNC Dental students travel back to Uganda to do humanitarian dentistry.
“I love Dentistry” is what Dan realized while he was an intern with us. He states,
I learned how dentistry works as a whole at Progressive Dental, about different perspectives and how to treatment plan… I learned real-world Dentistry.
and now, Dan will be soon practicing ‘real-world dentistry’ on his own. We are very proud to have helped him on his journey into dentistry… Best of luck to Dan!!!
